G.711 ulaw/alaw This codec is recommended for high-bandwidth users, it uses 64kbps per channel but delivers degradation-free voice packets with the highest quality.

G.729A This codec is suitable for low-bandwidth users, as it does only use about 29kbps per channel.

GSM Low bandwidth codec with decent audio quality. Recommended for low bandwidth users that don't have G.729 enabled systems.
